Little Yellow Cottage

Hello everyone. I have been busy the last few days. I had to have some minor surgery on my toe, but I don't want to bore you with that. I am excited because it looks as though Leo, (my husband) is going to finish up the drywall on the new bedroom soon. We still have to tear one whole room apart, our current bedroom, so the new bedroom has to be finished so we can move into it and then tear the old one up and make it new. Then some minor work on the stairway and that is about it unless he starts adding on again. I have posted some pictures of our little yellow cottage, which by the way was white with a green metal roof when we got it.

The Birth of Graceful Rose

The name of Graceful Rose was given to me by the Lord many, many months before I ever thought I would have a web site. I had done several craft shows and therefore had lots of beautiful hand painted things and so I thought I might try getting my own web site. I feel that the Lord guided me through this process also as I sat down one Saturday and decided to create my own web site. What could be so hard about that! Well 12 hours later I had one page done with no pictures. Ha! Ah, but the Lord knew what he was doing. So I got up the next morning and decided to peruse some other web sites that I had visited before and get some ideas. So I remembered Victoria's Shabby Cottage so I went there and lo and behold, she had "ready made web design". Well it took me about 2 seconds to decide that was the way to go! I was so excited! She was and is so wonderful and I picked out my ready made design and she advised me to make sure I got a .com. for my site and I told her it would be Graceful Rose. What a pretty name, she said, hope it is not taken already, remember, you really need a .com, not a .net or anything else. I already knew that Graceful Rose would be available because of how I go the name. So that was the beginning of Graceful Rose.
